Background of the Study

IT infrastructure is the backbone of modern businesses, providing the necessary technological foundation for operations, data storage, communication, and more (Raj & Sinha, 2024). In developing economies like Nigeria, businesses face numerous challenges in deploying and maintaining efficient IT infrastructure. These challenges include inadequate funding, unreliable power supply, limited technical expertise, and a lack of reliable internet connectivity. This review examines the IT infrastructure deployment challenges faced by businesses in Kogi State, exploring how these obstacles impact their operational efficiency and growth.

Statement of the Problem

Kogi State businesses may encounter significant barriers when trying to establish and maintain modern IT infrastructure. These barriers can hinder business growth, reduce efficiency, and result in higher operational costs. Without the necessary infrastructure, firms may struggle to compete in an increasingly digital world, limiting their capacity to adopt innovative technologies such as cloud computing, e-commerce, and big data analytics. This study aims to identify the challenges that businesses in Kogi State face when deploying IT infrastructure and suggest strategies for overcoming these hurdles.
